The attorneys at Price Benowitz LLP were proud to sponsor the 2020 Spring Georgetown 5K & Half, which benefited Operation Turbo, a non-profit that gathers and sends “Boxes of Home” to our deserving, deployed U.S. military personnel.
Unfortunately, a number of military men and women do not receive care packages, letters or other mail when they are deployed overseas, making deployment even more difficult. Cue Operation Turbo. Operation Turbo was built for the brave service men and women who need a pick me up or simply want to know they are appreciated while they serve our country. “Boxes of Home” includes everything from handwritten notes to Girl Scout Cookies, and brings joy and happiness to members of our military who may otherwise not receive anything.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Spring Georgetown 5K and Half was held as a virtual run only and participants still received a finisher’s medal and an event shirt.
