Meet Mary Nerino

Mary Nerino is a Virginia state and federal level defense attorney who serves clients in criminal matters throughout the Northern Virginia area. Mary Nerino previously served as an Associate Attorney at the law offices of Henson Pachuta Kammerman PLLC, where she worked on felony and misdemeanor criminal cases in General District and Circuit Courts in nine counties in Northern Virginia. During this time, she also worked on federal cases heard in the Eastern District of Virginia and filed appeals to the Virginia Court of Appeals. Mary also has experience helping clients with immigration-related matters, especially unintended immigration consequences stemming from criminal convictions.

Before pursuing her career in law, Mary spent two years as an educator with Teach for America at a bilingual public school in Washington, D.C., where she used her Spanish proficiency to benefit young students in our nation’s capital, taught poetry and soccer as a volunteer with DC SCORES, and wrote curricula for the DCPS central office. In her free time, Mary can usually be found catching a concert at one of the DC Metro area’s many venues or running along the monuments at the National Mall – that is, as long as there’s no football to watch.
