Ms. Tandy is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Intellectual Property, one of the few women in South Florida to achieve that status. Ms. Tandy’s featured tumblr blog is a great source of information for those wanting to learn more about intellectual property matters. Given her years of experience and the depth and breadth of her legal knowledge, Ms. Tandy is often interviewed in print and online publications, including the New York Times, Newsweek, and The Wall Street Journal. She is also a frequent conference speaker and guest lecturer on the above topics. That includes the wildly popular South By Southwest (SXSW) music, film, and interactive festival held in Austin, TX every year. SXSW and those who attend are known for being on the cutting-edge of interactive developments in the entertainment and internet worlds.
Ms. Tandy is also deeply dedicated to education and ensuring that our nation’s young women grow into strong civic and business leaders, hence her enthusiastic support of the Women of Tomorrow program, where she speaks on social media, privacy and safety at events at high schools across South Florida, and her participation in the University of Pennsylvania’s Trustees Council of Penn Women.
Prior to the launch of her career, Ms. Tandy earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania in 1992, where she studied at the Annenberg School for Communications and also focused on European History. She earned her law degree at American University in Washington, DC in 1995
Ms. Tandy is a member of both the New York and Florida state bars. Her practice is head-quartered in the Fort Lauderdale area of Miami, Fla.
